Good morning juries. Good morning audience. Wow…it’s a beautiful morning, isn’t it? I am going to tell a story to all of you. I tell this story because nowadays I’m so sorry with the condition of the teenagers in Indonesia. I wonder what they think as young generation of our beloved country. They never realize it. Never…
Ladies and gentleman in my story, you can get some moral values. First, you can participate how to build the teenager’s behavior. So that, they become the ones of whom we are proud. Second, all of the teenagers in Indonesia know and understand about the consequence of using drug. Well, before I start telling this story, I want to thank Allah SWT for his mercy that I can stand here to speak to you. Yeah…to all of you. Let me present!

The Impacts of Drugs
for Young Generation in Indonesia

Nowadays, I’m so upset and my heart is so touched. Why? Because the condition of some teenagers in our country is so bad. They are not conscious if they are young generation who will be the leaders in the future in our beloved country, Indonesia. They only think of their own necessity. In their lives, they always waste their time, energy, money, and even opportunities. It’s very bad because they are the ones this nation relies on in the future. For example consuming drug, consuming alcohol, watching blue films, and doing free sex.
Well, we know that some teenagers in Indonesia use the drugs, even some of them are elementary school students. This reality is so bad.
Hey audience, please try to think! The students in elementary school have consumed drugs. They are too young to know and consume such an illicit thing. Maybe, they don’t know the impacts of drugs. They only feel the temporary happiness whereas the temporary happiness brings an eternal sorrow. They don’t realize what kind of sorrow that they will get. It may not happen right away but it may happen in some years time. They become very thin, weak, pale, and hopeless whereas all of us know how well their parents protected them when they were kids.
Ladies and gentlemen, I have a short film which tells how kids grow up well. Here it is!
Look! They are teenagers. They are the Indonesian young generation. They should play and study happily.
I quote some sentences in Melly Goeslaw’s song “Bunda” which I think it’s a nice song.
”Kata mereka diriku selalu dimanja…”
”Kata mereka diriku selalu ditimang...”
This song shows how well the parents take care of their children. They give love, cares, and attention. They want to see the children grow well, physically and mentally healthy. But, what do the children do after they grow up? They ruin themselves by doing all of the bad things. Here I have some examples of how bad they ruin themselves. Let’s look at these pictures!
These people are drug consumers. They use an injection needle in turns with their friends then finally they get virus. The virus is the most dangerous in the world, HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus). Look at them! So horrible, aren’t they?
Watching the short film, then I have questions: How do their parents feel? How do their teachers feel? And how do their friend feel? They all love them very much. They all want to see them happy and successful.
I have another one for you to watch. This film tells about two teenagers who have different future. Let’ s just watch it!
The left one tells about a successful man and the other one tells about a drug consumer. Let’s see! What happens with them?
One of them becomes a successful man and he has a happy life. But, Andi Irawan died. He died too young because of the drugs.
Well, my dear friends…what are you going to be, the successful people who have happy lives or on the contrary? The choice is on yours. Of course, you want to be successful and have a happy life. So, say no to drugs!
